"Travel breeds tolerance. The more we learn about other cultures, the less fear will exist. I learn about other cultures by exploring their cuisine and beverages. Nothing beats having a conversation over good food and a great glass of wine," Dr. White mentions.

After captivating readers for the last 10 years through her travel blog The Sophisticated Life, acclaimed Black content creator Dr. Nadeen White is all set to launch Culinary Travels in early 2023. Over the last decade, Dr. White has delivered top notch content focused on travel guides, restaurants, local foods, chefs, winemakers, food and wine festivals, and much more. Her new venture Culinary Travels is ready to unveil a series of small, luxury group trips emphasizing on food and wine.

Imagine wine tasting in Burgundy & Stellenbosch, doing a tagine cooking class in Morocco, truffle hunting in Northern Italy, making tapas in San Sebastian while drinking Txakoli, eating at one of the best restaurants in the world in Mexico City and having amazing street food in Thailand. Nothing is off limits when it comes to full immersion into the culinary scene of our destination.

Though Culinary Travels will start its trips in 2023, some of these trips have been already published. Interestingly, the first published trip to Morocco in June 2023 sold out in just 2 days. Booking is currently in progress for a Burgundy and Provence wine cruise hosted by Theodora Lee of Theopolis Vineyards. Dr. White is working on other domestic and international Culinary Travels one of which will be announced by the end of the year.

An avid traveler, Dr. White loves to indulge in great food and wine while traveling. She believes that this is a great way to learn about the local history and culture of a place. She holds a WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 2 wine certification, is a practicing physician, and the author of 3 best-selling Amazon travel e-Books.

As one of the very few Black travel content creators in the luxury space, Dr. White has always received requests from many of her readers and followers to host trips. She has also been approached by several travel companies over the past few years.

One of the primary objectives of Culinary Travels is to support BIPOC and woman-owned businesses. Dr. White has always been a proponent of Black winemakers through her written content. Now, she is looking for opportunities to collaborate with Black and BIPOC travel and wine tour operators across the world. Also, whenever possible, trips organized by Culinary Travels will include stays and events at Black-owned properties.
